Project goal:
The overall goal of the project is to promote decisions of the 5th Ministerial Conference from Parma, 2010 with the generic “To protect children’s health in a changing environment” and the Protocol on Water.  Specific aims are: 1. Increasing the level of knowledge of the population in the drinking water quality and health of children through concrete activities of education and health promotion.  2. Strengthening the capacities of the Local Government in the field of evaluation and management of drinking water quality. 3. To help improve the quality of drinking water in rural schools through concrete activities of education.

Project objectives:
1. Strengthening the capacities of representatives of the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Health, the institutions that are responsible for water quality and health of the decisions of 5th Ministerial Conference “Environment and Health”, members of local government, NGOs and members of civil society were ensuring the quality of drinking water and sanitation in rural schools. Involving women more actively in decision-making and lobbying on drinking water as well as the remedies in Moldova and Belarus;
2. Identify short and medium term solutions on improving water quality in pilot schools in selected municipalities and improvement projects on drinking water in Moldova and Belarus;
3. Steps and lobby for the development of normative acts to regulate the implementation of treatment systems, water filtration, and sewage and in parallel with the water supply; in the current phase, we will focus on educational institutions from rural areas, for the continued operation of the commission created after the fifth ministerial conference in Parma, 2010.
4. Promotion activities in media, radio, TV, web page, etc.. Develop informational and educational-instructional materials on promotion of health, creating a movie about the impact of water quality on maternal and child health, assessment, reporting.
